Meet Our Board of Directors

Jessica May
President of the Board
I'm an Air Traffic Controller at Boston Center, Nashua NH.

My husband and I are raising our first child, a son, and my world revolves around my family. Free time is usually spent wherever my boys are. We like going out on hikes, exploring new places, and going to small airports.

I've been flying since I was 14 years old and hold a Sport Pilot Certificate, and the family is a little airplane crazy, but that's the way we like it.

I have been working in social work since 2011 and I have a great passion for helping youths become successful and independent adults!
I have a degree in Criminal Justice with a focus in Domestic Violence. I completed my internship at the Child Advocacy Center (CAC) in Nashua, NH and that started my work with wanting to help the youth in southern NH.
When I am not at work you will find me hiking, playing with my adorable puppy, and spending time with my friends/family. I also love all sports and true crime documentaries.

Debra McGadden
Board Member
Zywave, Inc.

I have been working in marketing and sales support for the past 18 years and am currently the Marketing Operations Manager at Zywave, Inc.

I began volunteering with Stepping Stones towards the start of their journey and handle the social media and marketing tasks. The hard work, positive attitude and success of the youth that we serve inspired me to want to take on a larger role within the organization.

In my free time you will find me either on a trip (usually to a beach destination) or hanging out with my great niece and nephew in Rhode Island.

Michele Cantone
Board Member
St. Joseph Hospital

My name is Michele Canto and I have worked at St. Joes for the last 22 years. One of my roles at the hospital is managing the Grey Nuns Thrift Shop which allows me to work closely with Nashua area agencies to assist members of our community that might need a little help. Through this outlet I learned of Stepping Stones during the Adventure Quest they hosted in the Spring, right after we moved to our new location on Main Street. I knew I wanted to be more involved in the Stepping Stones organization when the event was over.

When I am not working you will find me with my husband Ed of 25 years, my daughters Stephanie and Samantha and my Bernese Mountain Dog, Jovie.

Humane Society of Greater Nashua

Throughout my time with the Humane Society for Greater Nashua, I have been fortunate to work
alongside businesses within the Greater Nashua community that believe in and support the great work
we are doing for our community. Within my role I get to do two things that I am passionate about-
helping members of the community and helping animals.

My other passions are coaching basketball (I was an assistant high school and college basketball coach),
hanging out with my 12-year old dog Sophie (a rescue from Aruba) and my 5.5-year old beagle Harper (from Louisiana), going to concerts and watching all things true crime.
