When Stella first came to us, she had recently been in an accident that totalled her car. Unfortunately, that car also had been her home for several months. Stella was between jobs and did not have family support–her adoptive parents had kicked her out because of her gender identity. At Stepping Stones, she was reassured by our accepting nature.

Teagan & Rhett
Join Teagan and Rhett on their incredible journey from homelessness to hope as they find support at Stepping Stones. Angel
Angel is one of the young mothers who uses the infant and child supplies at the drop-in center. After a lengthy period of sleeping outside, she was able to secure housing through Stepping Stones. She got a job and worked steady hours until the end of her pregnancy. She gave birth to a healthy baby girl and dotes on her. Every time Angel comes in, she’s bringing two times the joy!
Zach
Discover Zack's incredible journey as he finds hope and support at Stepping Stones after living under a bridge at the age of 19. Witness his transformation as he earns his LNA certification, secures a job helping others, obtains his driver's license, and moves into his first apartment.

Jack came to Stepping Stones with a smile on his face, despite a long history of negative experiences in the foster care system and a couple of court dates looming before him. An incredibly friendly, kind young person, Jack quickly became part of the fabric of Stepping Stones.

Haley
When Haley first found Stepping Stones, her mental health was at an all-time low. Her self-doubt not only made it difficult for her to reach her goals, but it also became harmful to her health. She got by with the support of a few friends (unsurprisingly many of her peers from foster care were also at Stepping Stones), but the real glimmer of hope for her was the news that we’d soon open up transitional housing for homeless youth.

Jonah
When Jonah first came to Stepping Stones, he was not only new to Nashua, but new to our country, as well. Jonah came from Chile with big dreams of starting his own auto-body shop with his family. When he fell on hard luck, he got right to work, setting a goal for himself to get a job and be on his way out of homelessness in less than one month.

Leo
Meet Leo, an incredibly hard-working and resilient young man who is leading the pack at the Step Up transitional housing program. When Leo came to Stepping Stones, he did not need much help: he already had a job, was a full-time college student, but was living out of his car after getting kicked out of his parent’s house. They would not accept him for who he was, but at Stepping Stones he not only found all the resources he’d need to bridge the gap, but also a community of friends and supporters.
